The Cincinnati Art Museum is one of the oldest art museums in the United States. It was founded in 1881 and opened in 1886, making it was the first purpose-built art museum west of the Alleghenies. It houses literally thousands of pieces from all over the world - as well as some ghosts from afar, if sources are to be believed!

Kachuba states that guards have witnessed the apparitions of a misty Egyptian Mummy, a seven foot tall medieval Spanish monk dressed in black and a victorian-era artist.

The Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza (formerly the Omni Netherland Plaza) is situated within the Carew Tower - an historic 49-story, 574-foot Art Deco building completed in 1930. The structure is the second-tallest building in the city, and it was added to the register of National Historic Landmarks in 1994. The tower is named after Joseph T. Carew, proprietor of the Mabley & Carew department store chain, which had previously operated on the site since 1877. The Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza is a member of Historic Hotels of America.

The hotel is reputedly haunted by a "Lady in Green". According to witnesses, the apparition is described as an African-American woman wearing a "formal gown", and that she has even conversed with staff. Both staff and visitors have encountered her in the elevator and in the Hall of Mirrors. Others have claimed that they have felt a cold breeze or felt a touch on the shoulder, to turn around and see her.

There are also reports of a disembodied woman's voice being heard.
