According to sources, this building was constructed as a boarding house for the railroad. Local legend claims that a robber was served summary justice by men he tried to accost. After he was gunned down, his body was buried in an unmarked grave.

The supposed apparition of this robber and other spectres have been sighted in the building, disembodied footsteps heard, and a typewriter operates by unseen hands.
