Dubuque Grand Opera House

The Grand Opera House was built in 1890 by Chicago architect Willoughby James Edbrooke. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. It is Dubuque's only surviving opera house, and consequently is architecturally important as an early Richardsonian Romanesque building in Dubuque.

It is reputedly haunted and the phenomena include interference with electrical lighting and equipment; the sounds of voices on an empty stage and floorboards squeking as if somebody was walking on them; and doors open and close of their own volition. Mediums have stated that they have seen residual figures in the building.
