The Ceylon Covered Bridge is a historic covered bridge over the Wabash River. It was built in 1879 by the Smith Bridge Company of Toledo, Ohio, and is the only remaining covered bridge over the Wabash. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
According to accounts, the bridge is reputedly haunted and abound with urban legend. This stems from a story of a group of students performing a seance on the bridge, only for one of their number to drop dead on the spot. As a result, the bridge has become a portal.
Various types of phenomena are reported including screams and eerie laughter, and the sighting of misty spectres, "demons" and "evil black dogs".
