Colonial Park Cemetery

Colonial Park Cemetery is a historic cemetery that was established in 1750, when Savannah was the capital of the British Province of Georgia. It covers and area of six acres, has over 550 marked graves, but archaeologists have discovered "nearly 8700 unmarked graves". Burials ceased in the cemetery in 1853 and it later became a city park in 1896.

The cemetery is reputedly haunted by the apparition of one Renee Rondolia Asch, who was believed to have been responsible for the murders of two girls who were found dead in the grounds of Colonial Park Cemetery. Asch was lynched nearby.

Another apparition has apparently been filmed by a visitor - that if boy running through the cemetery and disappearing into a tree.

Hampton Lillibridge House

The Hampton Lillibridge House, which was built in 1796, has a reputation for being one of the most haunted houses in America. It is named after its original owner, Hampton Lillibridge, a New Englander. However, the building does not stand where it was originally constructed. It was purchased, along with a second property, in 1963 by Jim Williams, who moved the houses from East Bryan Street to the current location.

However, the other building was not up to the move, and fell apart in the process, killing one of the construction workers. Later, when the builders were fixing the Hampton Lillibridge House its new foundation, they discovered it would rest upon a crypt. Even with this in mind, the property was secured.

With this in mind, and with local legend stating that a sailor hung himself in the house, it is easy to see why some would believe the house to be haunted. Construction workers reported unusual activity including the sounds of footsteps and voices. Others have claimed to hear music eminating from the house.

Apparitions have been reported in the house. These include that of a man with grey hair in a grey "suit or robe", and a "tall, dark figure". Shadowy figures have also been seen. The resulting phenomena lead to an exorcism being conducted in late 1963.

The case attracted the attention of renowned investigator, Hans Holzer, as well as the Rhine Research Center.

Although Williams sold the house, according to reports, other owners have experienced unusual activity such as audible phenomena, the sense of presence and the movement of objects. The house is a private residence and is NOT open to the public.

Moon River Brewing Company

The Moon River Brewing Company claim on their website that they are "housed in one of the oldest, most historic and genuinely haunted buildings in Savannah". The building was constructed in 1821 as the City Hotel - but also served as a post office, bank and bar at the same time.

Phenomena include the apparition of a shadowy figure, which some claim to be the ghost of James Jones Stark, who was shot here on 9th August 1832. A second apparition in white has been reported stumbling on the stairs. The spectres of a little girl and boy have also been reported.

Auditory effects include the sounds of pool being played, a woman calling employees names and footsteps walking across the floors. Kinetic phenomena include the cue ball and silverware moving on its own, and bottles have been thrown across the room. One employee claimed to have been slapped by unseen hands.

Pirates' House

The Pirates' House is a historic restaurant and tavern, and one of Savannah's most-popular tourist attractions. It was established in 1753, although one portion of the building has been dated to 1734, making it the oldest standing building in the state of Georgia. During its time, it has been "as "an inn for seafarers, and fast became a meeting point for pirates and sailors from the Seven Seas". And according to their website, The Pirates’ House "has been entertaining visitors with a bounty of delicious food, drink, and rousing good times!"

Phenomena include the apparitions of a sailor sighted ont the first floor and a pirate captain that has been reported walking both the basement and upstairs rooms.

Auditory effects include the sounds of "cursing and laughing" as well as voices and screams. Chairs have been reportedly moved and doors open and close. Amateur ghost hunters have claimed to have obtained EVP recordings.

Sorrel-Weed House

The Sorrel–Weed House, or the Francis Sorrel House, represents one of the finest examples of Greek Revival and Regency architecture in Savannah. It was constructed for Francis Sorrel (1793–1870), a wealthy shipping merchant, and moved into the house in 1862. It remained in the Weed family until 1914. It was one of the first two homes in the State of Georgia to be made a State Landmark.

It has a reputation for being one of the most haunted houses in Savannah. Visual phenomena include a blurry face seen in a mirror in the hall and a "shadowy figure" in a black dress seen in the carriage house and courtyard.

Objects have been reportedly moved. Auditory effects include the sounds of music, laughter and voices. Amateur ghost hunters have claimed to have obtained photographic anomalies and EVP recordings.
