The May-Stringer House, home of the Hernando Heritage Museum, is a historic residential building that was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
It is reputedly haunted by the ghost of Jessie May Saxon who died there aged three in 1871. It is believed that she is responsible for the movement of objects, such as toys. A childs voice has been reported calling for its mother. Some have claimed to have pictured anomalies at the house.
