Old May Plantation

Situated just off County Road 42 on 300 hundred acres of farmland, you can find the Old May Plantation. Local lore states that there is an Indian burial mound on the site. An old farmhouse sits on the foundations of a previous building constructed by slaves. The location certainly has seen its fair share of history, both positive and negative.

A range of paranormal phenomena has been reported from the Old May Plantation. This includes visual effects, cold spots and objects moving on their own, as well as some disappearing.

As far as the visual phenomena go, "shadow people" have been witnessed.

Other phenomena are centred around the barn, where the "tall shadow of a man" has been seen, and phantom faces allegedly captured on photographs. One witness has reported hearing the sound of cannon fire here. During the Civil War, a lynching took place on the property, with the victim being beaten and hanged from the barn rafters.

The property is private and therefore not open or accesible to the public.
